I attended BCCC for a year, then began working as a legal secretary, first in Langhorne then in Philadelphia.

I met my Norwegian husband Per in 1982, and on Dec. 30 1983 Per and I were married in Bensalem. In Feb. 84 I moved to Norway. We live in a suburb of Oslo. We are avid hikers and enjoy trekking in the Norwegian mountains. Cross-country skiing is our winter pasttime. We also love to travel and Norway is a great vantage point for visiting European and Asian countries.

I visit my family in Bensalem as often as I can, and enjoyed attending the reunion in '08.
School Story:

Some of my best memories are from the music department and drill team. I also enjoyed participating in plays and musicals - The Odd Couple, Oklahoma, Li'l Abner come to mind. Teachers I remember best? Mr. Barron, Miss Kochis, Mrs. Middlekoff, Mr. Thullen

Summer vacation in the US, 2007 - Yosemite National Park. We flew to Eugene OR and drove south, making stops at Crater Lake, San Francisco, Sequoia Park and Yosemite before heading back to Portland, OR. From left, Rande, Per, Martin, Even and Anders

Hiking in Norway, 2006. We take hikes that span 3-4 days, following trails that lead to cabins where we can spend the night before heading on. Most everything you need is packed down in your knapsack.

Halloween at our house. We are the only family in Rykkinn who decorates for Halloween, a tradition to which many in Norway are sceptical. In 2007, I kept a running count and exactly 300 children came to our door! A big increase from 146 in 2006. And all the children were in costume.

Orienteering is my passion in the spring and summer months. We hunt down 95 posts in the woods, using a map and compass. Challenging and fun.

Christmas vacation at our cabin 2008. We took a short day trip on skis up on the mountain. I used snowshoes, had to let one of the boys use my skis. Day trips have to be short because of the long winter nights.
