Comments:

Moved to Missouri in 1993 for a piece of "the country." Own 10 acres -in a school district that graduates classes of ~ 40.
Nick's senior class got 3rd in the state in football and second in basketball. what a ride I had on his back !! All three kids put themselves through college with academic scholarships. Nick and Anna with Masters degrees ( and some debt).
Anna works for The Tulsa World newspaper and Nick is an Engineer/ Production Manager for L'Oreal cosmetics. Melissa is a marketing Manager for a non profit organization in Springfield MO- her husband designs websites with his own company. In November 2010, Melissa and Ray made me a grandfather with Rafael William Raymond Vanderlinden- we call him Rafa.

I ride a 1996 Harley Sportster. The second year I had it I took a roll off of it and dislocated my shoulder- I think I'm up to 8-1/2 lives used.

Shut down my machine shop in 2010. retired in 2021
I still ride my bike just not as often. The latest thrill in my life is driving the hot rod I dreamed of back then.
The family has seen changes in the last five years.
My sister died of cancer -she wasn’t sixty! Jerry, my brother, died of cardiac arrest as Covid got started. I have had my cancerous prostate removed.
Now my mother lives with me permanently.

School Story:

I remember and brag about great years - great music - great female fashions - great coaches - great hot rods ... in general a great time to be an American.

Graduation day 1973... I delayed coming out of the building after the ceremony. I remember standing outside the doors, looking at nearly an empty parking lot and having it hit me like a second broken neck... it was over!!! Talk about depression!!!

Dallas stadium 2010 - expensive tickets, a long ride and "they" looked like it was their first game together; highlight for me was a shoving match with a drunk Dallas fan in the parking lot
My son Nicolas and Jerry's son Nicholas- my grandfather must be happy with the choice of names
